Ivy Oronos (she/her/hers)

Born in the Philippines and raised in the Bay Area, I know what it’s like to be immersed in two completely different cultures. I’ve spent most of my life on Muwekma territory, known as Vallejo. I am a woman, daughter, mother and wife. My personality is pretty chill, laid back, soft-hearted, empathetic and optimistic.

As a therapist I am warm, welcoming, compassionate, and understanding. I enjoy working collaboratively and inviting clients to speak from their own perspective. This allows us to build a relationship that fosters healing, self-realization, and acceptance. Through this work, I’ve witnessed how profound therapy can be when you have someone encouraging and supporting you to be your best, authentic self.

I also enjoy supporting the Filipina/x/o community. I find so much comfort working with these clients who seem so familiar to me. In them, I see my sisters, my friends, my family. The connection and the understanding are so natural. Similarly, my clients appreciate having a shared lived experience and sitting with someone who absolutely gets it. They appreciate being seen for their strengths while also having a safe, trusting place for other, more vulnerable parts to be explored – their fears, their goals, their trauma and dreams. My hope is to support them in this exploration and allow each client to see themselves more fully.

I believe that all people have the capacity for self-awareness, that we are all unique and equipped to create our own meaning of life.
